Mini Haul: Essie's Summer Collection
If it wasn't obvious enough from the last few days of Manicure MAYhem, here's the post to show my inability to resist Essie's Summer Collection! The colors were just so tantalizing and hard to not grab off the display! I was sure to get myself these babies and was lucky enough to attain Essie coupons too (which are pretty rare, if you ask me!) I was super stoked and I still love these colors! I grabbed 5 out of the 6 shades, the only one I didn't show love for was Sunday Funday, the more fuchsia polish. I found that color to be more common than the rest to be honest and didn't have the same urge to buy it as the others pictured above.

Polish Sighting: Maybelline Color Show Fashion Prints
"Mirror, mirror, on the wall... Who has the feistiest nail stickers of them all?!"
Maybelline! And they're back at it again with a new Limited Edition Nail Sticker collection and it is feistier than ever! I bragged about the staying power of these babies before in a Product Review and I have to say when I saw these on the shelves I was super excited still haven't found one to match up to these nail apps. This line consist of 8 animal prints with a very glossy finish or as they call it "Stick-On Marriors Reflection Style" and what better way to reflect your inner diva?! They sell for about $8-9 and if you've got short nails you can get two uses out of each style.

Polish Sighting: OPI Softly Spoken
What perfect way to start off the summer but by pleasing the upcoming brides-to-be's and giving them one less thing to worry about! Softly Spoken surely doesn't scream attention its subtle pinks and nudes will make any french mani or plain jane happy! This collection is completed with 12 shades, a majority being pinks than nudes. I spotted these at Ulta and they run at about $8-9 per bottle, nothing special just an ordinary OPI polish really.
Quite frankly, I'm not too sure if this line is even knew? I can't seem to find anything about it really. I'm curious if it's a part of the Soft Shades by OPI collection.

Polish Sighting: Essie's Summer Collection
If you haven't tried to get your hands on Essie's summer collection or even heard of it yet, then you must be living under a rock. Been hearing so many people looking for these bad boys cause they're the talk of the town and they're flying off the shelves like there's no tomorrow! For their summer collection launched 6 shades:
(First Row)
The More The Merrier: A bright green, reminds me of an avocado smoothie.
Full Steam Ahead: A soft lavender/lilac with shimmer, I think purple yam.
Rock The Boat: A dusty blue also with shimmer.
(Second Row)
Sunday Funday: A bright coral with shimmer.
Naughty Nautical: A deep turquoise/teal with a subtle shimmer.
The Girls Are Out: A bright fuchsia with shimmer.
I find these colors to be quite unique, except The Girls Are Out and maybe Full Steam Ahead. It's hard to resist! Essie also went for the brighter road when it came to their Nail Stickers! What's your say on these new beauts? Have you got your stash already? So far I've gotten to use my Naughty Nautical in my Manicure MAYhem just a couple of days ago.

Polish Sighting: Sinful Colors Sail La Vie
"Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with meee" come Sail La Vie! Ahoy maties, today's Polish Sighting? Sinful Colors! They're set to sale their new summer collection!
Spotted this new display at work once I got back. Sinful Colors, Sail La Vie. It's their new summer collection complete with 8 shades. Although, out of the 8 shades only 5 of them are actually brand new. Their orginally running at $1.99, so nothing new in the pricing department since they are black topped and not silver. Pretty certain other Walgreens may have a different display but the polishes are the same.
From left to right their polish names are as followed:
Out of This World
Snow Me White
Sail La Vie (New)
Anchors Away (New)
Cross My Heart
New Wave (New)
Into The Blue (New)
My Bouyfriend (New)
I'm bound to grab a couple of the new colors, eventually. The ones that stand out the most are Sail La Vie & Anchors Away. Probably the least nautical colors in the bunch but I'm pretty sure I don't have anything like those yet.

Polish Sighting: OPI Couture de Minnie
Shoppin' around Ulta and I run into this little chic display! OPI came out with a Couture de Minnie collection with 5 new polishes. Unfortunately, I didn't get a full display photo but it's still adorbs don't you think? It's a complete set with 3 polishes and 2 glitters. Apparently, they aren't released until June but hey found them on the shelves early! Anywho, the polish names are as followed:
A Definite Moust-Have
Innie Minnie Mighty Bow
Chic From Ears to Tail
Magazine Cover Mouse
Minnie Style

Polishing Sighting: Sally Hansen Limited Edition Sugar Coat
Sally Hansen is almost always the "trendsetter" of the nail company world, in my opinion at least. They're always throwing out new nail polish concepts, for instance, today's Polish Sighting is their newest textured polish. They call it Sugar Coat, I call it popcorn ceiling. (LOL) Idk, if you all know what that is but in the past apartments I've lived in while growing up I remember them have bumpy consistency and this texture is just a trigger for remembrance of that! Anyways, this is a Limited Edition line and it comes complete with 8 shades. I haven't heard much about rave about these and from what I've read or heard it's an "acquired taste". If it's not obvious yet, I'm not too crazy for it but I'll eventually give it a shot. I got to give it to Sally Hansen, they're very creative, I'm not certain that they were first with this concept but regardless even their choice of colors are bold! They've got bright hues of purple, white, red, yellow, blue, mint green, pink, and last black.
Have any of you tried these babies out? Do you get any sugar dust remains after using them?

Product Review: Revlon Wild Flower App
Just when I thought Revlon was getting things right with catching on the "it" thing and was super excited for them, I should have second guessed myself and figured there would be something faulty about their Nail Apps.
Don't get me wrong, they're designs are gorgeous and quite attractive compared to the other competing nail apps, but they failed me already in the application process and adhesion. There's a lot of room for improvement, I think, especially in these two areas.
First, you've got to peel off the nail ap from its backing and thus it becomes a flimsy sticker that you're attempting to stick onto your nail bed. It gets kind of difficult because too much touching of the edges then they start to curl inward and you'll have to attempt to uncurl them prior to adhesion or else they stick to themselves.
Second, the adhesion wears off quick, maybe not as quick as a couple other ones. But still, adhesion is very dire in nail apps and without the proper stickiness there's no point for a customer to invest in it. I ended up peeling them off a couple days after because the curled end couldn't be undone even with the attempt of a top coat for extra help and boost of adhesion. I did my normal retail work and I already started seeing little chips and tears at the edges of my nail. Totally sucked cause I was so hopeful for this product.
In all honesty though, aside from the pretty floral designs (so far) the other nail apps I've reviewed are worth the money more than this. I probably wouldn't repurchase these unless I knew they had made some changes to their product.
I used this for Manicure MAYhem: Day 13....

Tidbit News: Yahoo's "Best Nail Polish Brands That Last"
Have you gotten your weekly dose of nail polish news yet? If not, well then, you're in luck. This week I spotted Yahoo Shopping's "Best Nail Polish Brands That Last" as I was roaming through their Featured Stories.
Can you guess what topped the charts? I'll give you a hint. It starts with an E and ends with an E...
Yep, you're damn right tootin' girlie! Essie came out shinin' on top at number one! What do you know huh, apparently it is the "overall winner", which I'd assume means it outdid the rest on almost all, if not all categories.
Not too far behind in second place, can you guess what it is? maybeee? It's Maybelline! Haha, see what I did there?! XD *laugh slowly dies* ahem... ok lame sorry -__-; But apparently they've got the "longest lasting" polishes on the market. Not too sure if this covers chipping? I'd want to say yes, but if you continue reading on one of the other polishes takes the title of "most chip-proof".
Now if you're one of the impatient crowds who hate waiting on the polishes to dry and clumsily dent it in attempts to do other things? Well, number three might just be your calling and that's OPI with the "quickest drying" time around. I can't agree more with this, to be truthfully honest, I find that OPI has got it down proven through their Dry Drops that I swear by.
Lastly, if there's one thing that can piss off a girl, it's the nail polishes ability to chip like there's no tomorrow! And my dear ladies, based on this post, then you should be falling in love and running for CoverGirl's Outlast bottles to save you from your misery! Because, they seem to be the "most chip-proof" formula they ran tests on.
So, what are you thoughts and opinions on these results? Yay or Nay? Or do you agree to disagree with them? If you want to read on and see the other details on the post, then head over to the Good Housekeeping's Best Nail Polish Brands That Last" and share your thoughts!

Product Review: OPI Nail Envy
This base coat works wonders! My nails are really getting beat up with all this polishing I'm pushing on them. My nails keep breaking easily and peeling, so when I need a base coat this is what I turn to. And when I''m miraculously not painting my nails, I make sure to keep a coat of this on. I instantly see improvement on my nails, of course it just gets countered when I cave into polishing them again. But other than that this is by far the best for me, if I'm not mistaken there are a few different options within the OPI Nail Envies and this one is specifically for peeling nails!
I would totally recommend this to anyone who have the same issue as me! Worth the investment and it sure is lasting me quite a whole; it's like I haven't even made a dent on it yet and I've had it for over a month, used almost daily.
Any of you ladies use this product? What's your thoughts?

Product Review: L'Oreal's Miss Candy - Jolly Lolly
It's finish does appear to look quite gel-like. But it's sheen seems to be so inconsistent on the nails, it almost appears like actual jelly, hence maybe "gellie". I feel like if you poke at it, it would just jiggle or your finger would just go straight in. This, of course, isn't true. Haha. Anyways, I'm not crazy about this. Maybe i'll give it another chance with one of the other shades although I don't think it's worth the $5.99 splurge.
What's your take on this?

Manicure MAYhem: Day 6
Day 6: Sally Hansen's Limited Edition Complete Salon Manicure Designer Collection - Butterscotch, a collaboration with Fashion Designer Tracy Reese
Bargain Finds: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure
I was lucky enough to grab some of the Limited Edition Designer Collection which were collaborations with a mixed of known designers. The display was a tower for the Summer Looks - Hot Days / Cool Nights. (Somewhere along those lines, I'm not entirely certain of the correct wording). But it also featured their new Dry Drop.
Anyways, back to the polishes. I swooped up First Kiss, Butterscotch & Green Tea (by Tracy Reese) and Resurrection (by Parabal Gurung). Although, If I'm not mistaken, these aren't really the newest of the "Limited Edition" line since these two fashion designers (Reese & Gurung) released their lines in the previous years. These colors (the ones I attained) are just re-released along with their newest fashion designer collaborator Alex Wang. There is a total of ten polishes with this collection, 5 from Reese (First Kiss, Butterscotch, Green Tea, Soy Latte, & Hot Lava), 3 from Gurung (Resurrection, Angel Bite, & Apparition), and 2 from Wang (White Out & Dune).
As for their consistency, this line is supposed to be a all-in-one polish. No need for base coat, top coat, etc. It does everything for you. For the polishes I chose, I do love the colors and it didn't take long for them to completely dry after I applied them. The lighter hues took a couple or few coats while the darker hues I was able to settle with just one.
So, so far, I'm very happy with the price - 2 for $10 - $2 off each bottle. The colors were very different and alluring. Their quality is great! The only thing I've got to get back to you on is the wear time, I haven't tested it long enough to really say. But as for everything else, I think I've pretty much covered it.

Product Review: Sinful Color Diamond Lust - Shine On Me
This, of course, is a special line since they run at $2.99 per bottle as compared to the regular Sinful Colors at $1.99. I'm pretty sure though that the trick to using chunky glitter is having the right base color to go along with it. I used this for my Manicure MAYhem: Day 1 and no matter how hard I tried the photo didn't do it justice. I love it more in person than in the photos, both natural sun and in-door lighting.
It's clear coating is a thicker consistency which I think is a good thing, in my opinion, it allows for easier access to the glitters. From previous glitter polishes I've attempted, I found it quite difficult getting the glitters out; it was like fishing for them in a tiny bottle. (I had no patience.) But I think, this one, is just fine and comes on more evenly than the rest too.
