Polish Sighting: Maybelline Color Show Fashion Prints
"Mirror, mirror, on the wall... Who has the feistiest nail stickers of them all?!"
Maybelline! And they're back at it again with a new Limited Edition Nail Sticker collection and it is feistier than ever! I bragged about the staying power of these babies before in a Product Review and I have to say when I saw these on the shelves I was super excited still haven't found one to match up to these nail apps. This line consist of 8 animal prints with a very glossy finish or as they call it "Stick-On Marriors Reflection Style" and what better way to reflect your inner diva?! They sell for about $8-9 and if you've got short nails you can get two uses out of each style.

Polishing Sighting: Sally Hansen Limited Edition Sugar Coat
Sally Hansen is almost always the "trendsetter" of the nail company world, in my opinion at least. They're always throwing out new nail polish concepts, for instance, today's Polish Sighting is their newest textured polish. They call it Sugar Coat, I call it popcorn ceiling. (LOL) Idk, if you all know what that is but in the past apartments I've lived in while growing up I remember them have bumpy consistency and this texture is just a trigger for remembrance of that! Anyways, this is a Limited Edition line and it comes complete with 8 shades. I haven't heard much about rave about these and from what I've read or heard it's an "acquired taste". If it's not obvious yet, I'm not too crazy for it but I'll eventually give it a shot. I got to give it to Sally Hansen, they're very creative, I'm not certain that they were first with this concept but regardless even their choice of colors are bold! They've got bright hues of purple, white, red, yellow, blue, mint green, pink, and last black.
Have any of you tried these babies out? Do you get any sugar dust remains after using them?

Manicure MAYhem: Day 6
Day 6: Sally Hansen's Limited Edition Complete Salon Manicure Designer Collection - Butterscotch, a collaboration with Fashion Designer Tracy Reese
Bargain Finds: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure
I was lucky enough to grab some of the Limited Edition Designer Collection which were collaborations with a mixed of known designers. The display was a tower for the Summer Looks - Hot Days / Cool Nights. (Somewhere along those lines, I'm not entirely certain of the correct wording). But it also featured their new Dry Drop.
Anyways, back to the polishes. I swooped up First Kiss, Butterscotch & Green Tea (by Tracy Reese) and Resurrection (by Parabal Gurung). Although, If I'm not mistaken, these aren't really the newest of the "Limited Edition" line since these two fashion designers (Reese & Gurung) released their lines in the previous years. These colors (the ones I attained) are just re-released along with their newest fashion designer collaborator Alex Wang. There is a total of ten polishes with this collection, 5 from Reese (First Kiss, Butterscotch, Green Tea, Soy Latte, & Hot Lava), 3 from Gurung (Resurrection, Angel Bite, & Apparition), and 2 from Wang (White Out & Dune).
As for their consistency, this line is supposed to be a all-in-one polish. No need for base coat, top coat, etc. It does everything for you. For the polishes I chose, I do love the colors and it didn't take long for them to completely dry after I applied them. The lighter hues took a couple or few coats while the darker hues I was able to settle with just one.
So, so far, I'm very happy with the price - 2 for $10 - $2 off each bottle. The colors were very different and alluring. Their quality is great! The only thing I've got to get back to you on is the wear time, I haven't tested it long enough to really say. But as for everything else, I think I've pretty much covered it.

Polish Sighting: Revlon Wild Flowers Nail App
This was surely a surprise to lay eyes on! Revlon just released some chic and colorful Nail Art 3D Jewel Apps for Spring 2013 "Wild Flowers", It is currently a Limited Edition line with 8 different designs if i'm not mistaken. (Correct me if I'm wrong please.) Also, from what I've heard there will be a few designs every season for this line but nothing that'll become a basic item (just yet). I'm not going to lie, Revlon sure did step their game up. I don't normally gravitate towards their nail stuff because I always felt they were a bit behind, but this surely caught my attention, real quick too! I ended up purchasing one because I just had to have it! I'll probably be trying it out this week, so look out for an upcoming product review! Have you seen these around yet? Btw, I spotted this at a Walgreens and it is as priced in the photo $10.49 and I'm pretty sure it'll be a little more or less from that price point. Have you had the chance to try them out yet, if so what are your thoughts?

Polish Sighting: Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Limited Edition
Sally Hansen is always at the top of their game and with a variety of different lines, they've got a handful of new polishes collections out. Aside from their "Under the Sea Collection" for the Complete Salon Manicure, they didn't forget about their Diamond Strength line, a limited edition set complete with 8 different hues to complete it. Almost on the opposite spectrum of the Under the Sea, this covers the pastel hype of Spring. Up top is a photo of 7 of the 8 polishes, starting with (left to right) Opulent Opal, Diamond Jubilee, Fancy Diamond, Brilliant Cut, Sparkling Jewel, Flawless Pink (missing from photo), Gold Setting, and Rock'n Wedding.
So if you want a more sophisticated or sheer finish, most of the Diamond Strength polishes come with shimmer and are pretty strong polishes. This line is more pastels and focused on the classy or mature styled individuals.

Mini Haul: Sinful Colors Almost Famous
Who can resist a little sparkle in their life?! I've come to realize that Spring 2013 nail collections are just a mix of everything, from neons, to pastels, to glitters, to different finishes. You're good to go with what you've got! And you can add to that glitter collection of yours for a couple of bucks now that Sinful Colors came out with Almost Famous, a Limited Edition Glitters which I'm pretty sure you could still find if you look around. The set is completed with 8 different shades which I'm sorry I don't have a complete photo of.
What I did pick up though out of the eight are these four shades: Lush Life, Poparazzi, In The Spotlight, and Star Dust (left to right order). They're super gorgeous; and although I somewhat despise the removal of glitter from nails, I can't help but want that extra shine to my designs whenever needed!
If you've got some Almost Famous glitters share them with me, I'd love to know your input on them! & Please don't forget to head on over my Facebook page at Kolorful Nails! Have a wonderful Saturday! :)

Polish Sighting: Essie Spring 2013 Collection
Essie's never failed to stay as chic as can be especially with their Limited Edition Spring 2013 Collection; Madison Ave-Hue is complete with the six shades pictured above (except the pastel green). From left to right, Bond with Whomever has a more lilac finish, Madison Ave-Hue is any girls' favorite fuchsia, Avenue Maintain is surely a pop of blue, Go Ginza is a more pastel pink also the softest shade of the bunch, (skip the light mint) and Maximillian Strasse Her (on the far right) is a greyish green shade. The missing shade of collection would be Hip-Anema which is the brightest color of the bunch with a bright red orange finish, just right for this Spring trend (no wonder it's sold out!). They're surely beautiful shades and will not fail the Essie Loyals out there! Get yours while you still can!

Polish Sighting: Revlon's Captivating Chrome
Is it just me or does Revlon kind of lag on jumping the bandwagon on the new "it" thing for nails? I always feel like they're more marketed for the working women. To me, they feel like the "classic" brand that sticks to "original" stuff. From time to time, they'll come out with things that are different, like this Polish Sighting. It's their Limited Edition Captivating Chrome Chameleon. It is what it says it is, a color changing polish. The collection is complete with 8 different shades.
They look gorgeous in person and from what I've heard they go on quite well but not all have a drastic color-shifting effect.
If you guys get the chance to try this share your results with me!

Mini Haul: Wet n Wild Coloricon Toppings
Still feel like your pastel mani's are too bland for your spring time nail get ups? Well, you're in luck because glitters are popping up like easter eggs! Today's Mini Haul is Wet N Wild's Limited Edition Coloricon Toppings. Photographed above are the two I picked up, Sprinkled with Love and Gimme Some Suga' but the whole line consists of six toppings. Yes, toppings, it's not nail polish perse but a sheer glitter topping. It is, of course, buildable if you choose to use it on its own. So if you're looking for some umph to add to your nail decor, this'll be your go to aside from nail stickers.

Product Review: Maybelline Nail Stickers
These past couple of weeks I've been testing out Maybelline's Limited Edition Color Show Fashion Prints Nail Stickers in Sapphire Jewels #60.
I have to say, this photo doesn't do this nail design justice. The silver/grey triangular designs are more of a holographic finish that make the contrast more appealing against the deep blue base. I love the overall design with the length of nails, I feel it would be to overbearing if it were on longer nails.
As far as nail stickers go, Maybelline's got it spot on for their adhesiveness, I end up peeling them off after a little over a week because I want to change them out and there will still be sticky residue left on my nails. Thus their lasting wear is also quite great since I use them without top coat. (Mind you that's pretty well, especially while working in retail.)
The downfall? For me it would be cleanly sizing it. I can get a bit anal, so the tips end up bothering me if I file them too close and am able to see the edge of my nails. This leads me to pick at them but I'm pretty sure a little top coat could solve it. And I'd assume this could last for about 2 weeks before it starts to wear and tear (with good top coat of course), I just don't have the patience to wait that long to find out. Maybe when I'm really busy! :P

Simple Sunday: L'Oreal's Versailles Romance
It may be too early for some summer lovin' but 2013's color trends are already super fun and flirty for Spring! One word: Pastels! It's all you need to hunt for. For this Simple Sunday, I chose L'Oreal's Versailles Romance Colour Riche Nail to shine in the limelight!
This limited edition line is complete with six shades. The Palace Life, Creme Puff, Royally Yours, Pistachio Dream, Macaron Me Madly, and Lacy Lilac Only. I only picked up two, Pistachio Dream #118, a light mint color & Creme Puff #117, a light yellow. I felt they stood out the most to me.
Now, about the products themselves, I honestly love the color pay off but I did have to use about three coats to attain this look. At one coat it's quite opaque and with two it's somewhat streaky. To be honest, I'm not crazy for L'Oreal's nail colours, they're all right and I feel that they can be improved more. I have to admit though the color choices L'Oreal puts out are hard to resist!
