The following products are going to be your necessities for this tutorial! And don't forget, the handy dandy Dabbers and Qtips!
- Base Coat - Sally Hansen Hard As Nails
Start off with a base coat for nail protection, whatever you have will do.
- Pastel Green Polish - LA Colors Light Green
As your base color, use a light green. Two layers of this will be generous enough. It'll give your design an opportunity to stand out more. If you want you can just use every other finger to paint with this color and use the Dark Green polish for the other two fingers you choose to leave out.
- Dark Green Polish - (Striper)
Once your base color has dried, use your dark green polish to create a sideway heart on any nail you prefer. (I chose the ring finger and index finger.) Continue on by creating another heart beside it at a diagonal angle and one more across from it. (If you'd like you can create a fourth on for a four leaf clover, just make sure to space it out correctly.)
- Green Rhinestones - Rhinestone Wheel
After you're happy with the result, place a green rhinestone at the center of your clover leaves for a more floral/leaf effect. This way the individual leaves can be more distinguished.
- Dabber & Dark Green Polish - (Striper)
You'll use your Sponge to Dab on the Dark Green polish to cover your other two fingers (For me, the pinky and middle finger).
- Green Glitter Polish (Striper)
You'll do the same with the Green Glitter polish. Except you'll place this on directly on the nail. Be SUPER generous and once you've placed enough, you'll use your dabber to tightly pack on the glitter polish. You can never have enough so add some more on if you'd like, it also gives it a more textured appearance. (I placed two different kinds of glitter options in the photo, it's really up to you what color combos you'd prefer) You'll repeat this step on the non-clovers nails.
- Top Coat - Seche Vite Fast Drying Top Coat
Once you've completed these steps, add your favorite top coat.
- Drip Dry - OPI (optional)
Every now and then I like to use Drip Dry, this allows for the dry time to be shortened and I especially recommend this on glittery nails, that way it can harden faster and not be ruined easily.
